As my third week as an IBM intern came to a close, so did the business quarter! Times were hectic for those on my team as well as for myself, as I strive to finish all of the assigned projects in a timely fashion!
I am looking forward to beginning to tag along to shadow some calls and meetings with my host manager and her team, I think I'll be able to learn even more watching it happen face to face! Being three weeks into my internship, I feel as though I am starting to find myself more and more as the weeks go on, and discovering what I like and dislike in terms of career paths. We have had many organized gatherings throughout the internship so far with guest speakers that talk to us about just how many career options we have at IBM, and let me tell you that the possibilities are endless! Being able to explore these options by listening to the speakers really opens up to a new perspective outside of just Sales and IT at IBM.
Since this was a short week as well as the end of the quarter for my team, I focused on my projects I have assigned to me currently, and actually finished a huge chunk of one of them, which I am very proud of myself for. I would say I am about 75% done with the 5 projects assigned to me, which I am working hard to get done so that I can focus more on shadowing calls and meetings, which I am planning to arrange with my manager this week!
Happy fourth of July! Hard to believe I am nearly halfway through this internship, how time flies!
