This opportunity definitely changed my outlook on things, I always knew I wanted to work for IBM, however with my major change a few years ago (switching from Equestrian to Marketing), I had felt lost and that I had no clue what I was going to do once I graduated. Then I learned more about IBM and their values as a company, and I realized I wanted to work for them, but wasn't sure where to begin. Then, a few short days later, a recruiter came into my sales class for the IBM Summit Intern program! I figured it was a stretch, but to apply for the internship. The application process took a few months, which left me anxious 99% of the time of course! When I received a call from my now host manager, saying she would love to have me on her team, I started crying and called just about everyone I knew telling them I had actually gotten it!
If I have learned anything from this experience, it' s that anything is possible if you work hard enough and want it bad enough! My future ahead of me is so bright and bold, and I cannot wait to see where it takes me :)
And in recent news, my dad has come home from Australia for a few weeks! I only get to see him twice a year, so this is really exciting that all of us get to be together for a bit of time! I wasn't sure to put for this weeks photo, so enjoy another photo of my lab, Sulley :)
